Beware of the dentist Craig Shanteau that works for their parent company doing orthodontics. My young daughter had a bad experience with the removable retainer type expanders. After 3 weeks, the bottom broke, then she got the top one stuck in her throat and had an oral surgeon remove it under anesthesia. Very painful afternoon for her, not to mention expensive for us. The top expander was always loose and she had trouble keeping it in place. We had it checked and fitted by Shanteau the day before it got stuck in her throat. Needless to say, we are going elsewhere. The parent company over Westfield Dental, Heartland Dental did issue us a full refund. I went with this dental center for orthodontics only because the staff is so great there.

Technology seems very up to date. I like the TVs at each patient chair. The staff are all friendly and will get you in and out efficiently. Dr. Gray was friendly; though he did not really suggest good prevention methods other than brushing or flossing (another dentist wrote me out a prescription for high-fluoride dental cream, etc). Using a dental discount plan I was able to save a significant portion, plus if payment is received in full on the day of service you get 10% off. There is also a $50 referral credit for you and your referring friend.
