It has been a few years since I had been to the dentist office since having a bad experience with getting a wisdom tooth pulled. I had heard though how wonderful Dr. Morehead and his staff were and decided to give it a try again. I have had several teeth cleanings and although not horrible pain it was not something that was comfortable. Susan done a wonderful job, my teeth look great after tons of neglect and there was no pain at all. The whole staff there was very friendly and helpful. Could not recommed a better dental office.

When I first went to see Dr Moorhead I was afraid that I would need a lot of extractions. They took several x rays and Dr Moorhead went over my options and allowed me to make the decision that I thought best suited me. He told me that he could save my teeth but it would be a long hard journey. One month later I have had 3 root canals and several fillings and I am no longer embarrassed to smile. You couldn't ask for a more comforting doctor and friendly staff. There is no better dental experience.

I would highly recommend Dr. Moorehead for anyone, but especially for children. He has a wonderful chair-side manner. Both of my daughters were really scared the first time we took them to the dentist, but Dr. Moorehead made them feel at ease right away, which made them not be afraid to go back the next time. My 11 year old had a root canal last week and the only discomfort that she mentioned was simply having to keep her mouth open for so long. She even said the shots that were given to numb her hurt a lot less than when getting her finger pricked for a blood test. He gives them slowly so that they feel it less. He talked to her often during the root canal procedure explaining what he was doing and what she could expect which made her not become anxious sinse she knew what he was doing and was about to do. He even goes as far as wearing regular clothing rather than Dr.'s coat, which I'm sure takes the Dr. image away for kids. Another thing that he does is call that night to see how the patient is doing. He even called the night that my daughter found out that she was going to have to have the root canal just to be sure she was doing ok on the antibiotic. This shows he really cares about his patients. He even has days where he opens his office to the public for free dental visits. This is for people who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it. This is what I would call a very cary dentist. If you are someone who needs to go to the dentist but you are afraid, just go to Dr. Moorehead. He's the dentist for you.
