i think he is a very good dentist and every apt I've had has been a good experience with him and his staff.
I found Dr. Blanchard and his assistant to be very nice and compassionate people! It was a great experience and I am so happy I went to him.
I don't believe either of the previous reviews. I showed up, insurance-less also, at Dr. Blanchard's office with a broken tooth that needed attention, also after spending time at NARH the night before when I couldn't stand the pain anymore. The ER doctor was the one who recommended that I go to Dr. Blanchard in the morning. At his office, I was not a current patient nor did I have an appointment, I was dealt with professionally, options explained clearly, and my neglected tooth removed. I would recommend this Dental office to anyone in the Northern Berkshire area
I called Dr. Blanchard's home number (provided by his office answering machine) after 7 AM New Year's Eve morning when my friend's face had swollen to twice its normal size after he ignored a toothache for 10 days. We had spent nearly 3 hours at the Emergency Room at North Adams Regional, but they had been unable to attend to him because of critical care emergencies. Dr. Blanchard indicated that he could not help us that morning, but directed us to the Berkshire Memorial Hospital. I thanked him and apologized for waking him up Saturday morning. He inquired whether I was a current patient, and asked me my name. I indicated that I was not; I was visiting the Berkshires on vacation. HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO REPORT ME, AND GIVE MY NAME TO THE POLICE. WHAT? FWI. That's J-a-y M-o-n-t-e-i-t-h
Very rude on the phone. Once they found out my health insurance did not cover dental work, the lady said sooorry and hung up. I was still going to make an appointment and pay with cash or credit card, but the lady hung up and was so rude.
