Sam's Club
Reviews
Something is wrong with this Sam's club. The staff is not nice, always looking like they have something better to do and I feel like I am on my own. They are clearly understaffed or overworked. I noticed that they tell jokes to each other, laugh out loud, hang out around the food samples and behave like they are at home. I suspect it is a top down issue.
EVERY TIME I've asked for assistance, I have received it, Pronto! Staff has went to the very rear to return an item and bring its replacement. It did not take forever. People should not be happy on their job?!? I prefer smiles, laughter, rather then detached zombies. As a gentlemen said, "its Sam's" for gosh sakes. Of course I could nitpick about something if I chose to focus on the negative. Heck I could find something wrong with any store if I so choose. Customer service anywhere is different than it use to be; not that it was all that great in the past. The staff are cordial and friendly; professional too.
I really don't like going to Sam's Club. The customer service is typically very bad (distracted and slow cashiers, similarly slow clerks at customer service, etc.) and the place is always jam packed because it takes so long to get through check out. Unfortunately, there are some basic staples I buy here that are just much cheaper than anywhere else. I very much prefer going to Costco, but on a price comparison basis, there literally are two or three items I buy regularly that pay for my Sam's Club membership for the entire year. So, I grit my teeth and head into Sam's three to four times a year to stock up. Sam's Club could really be a solid place to go if they took a few tips from Costco in customer service and speed of checkout. My time is worth serious money to me, so until Sam's Club gets a clue about customer service, my Sam's trips will be limited and include targeted shopping lists.
No problem with returns. Friendly staff. Prices have to be compared.
