Walmart Supercenter

I'm one that doesn't care for the hustle and bustle in any given WalMart store. The Oak Grove store is small enough that you do not get pushed and shoved when walking down an isle. I have used the online to store order and pickup and it was very efficient. I'm happy with the products the store has to offer, granted it does not have the large variety and selection that the SUPER stores have, but it still serves the need without driving into the CITY. Thank you WalMart for your friendly service too.
I've called many times to check if they had something in-stock before I drive 10 miles to get there, and often times my call either goes unanswered or I'm put on hold for eternity. Their electronics department lacks quite a bit compared to other Walmarts in the area as well.
I have never actually shopped here. But I've slept in the parking lot a few times. It's a good, safe Wal-Mart to sleep at. You can easily get to it from I-70, pull in, then move to the backseat and sleep for a while. Not fancy, but it sure beats buying a motel for $50.
I try to avoid Walmart whenever possible, it just isn't always possible. I don't like the fact that when you look at the shelves, all you see is Great Value anymore. I would rather spend more more to know an item was made in America. Nothing against this Walmart specifically though, just Walmart in general.
We were thrilled when this branch opened. However it forced a lot of smaller reatilers to go out of business. This particular store has friendly enough staff on the floor. However, the store lacks in quality. The food quality is very poor and in the produce section - fruit flies can be found often. The meat section offers low quality meat -most of which is fatty. Everything is limited including choices in clothing, and house wares. It's as though this Walmart receives the leftovers from the better stores. Management is not honest and whatever you do -stay away from the elctronics department.I prefer to drive to the Blue Springs branch for some things. However, my patronage now goes to Patricia's on Broadway. Although the prices are a bit more, the quality and selection of food is 10000 times better than Oak Grove Walmart could hope to be.
