Gluckstadt Dental Clinic
Reviews
I don't usually post reviews, good or bad. But I have been so impressed with Gluckstadt Dental I thought I'd share. Growing up I had a LOT of dental work. I hated it. As a result, I developed anxiety about going to the dentist and as an adult I didn’t go for years. It was bad. My wife finally forced me to go. The people at Gluckstadt Dental made me feel SO comfortable. Now that I have found Gluckstadt Dental, I really don’t mind going to the dentist. I used to go years between cleanings. Now I go every 6 months!!! I’m not saying I like going to the dentist, but I no longer dread it. In my experience, I have always found the staff at Gluckstadt Dental to be nothing but courteous and professional. As a result, my teeth and gums are healthier than they have ever been!!!!! It's all thanks to the people at Gluckstadt Dental who make me feel at ease. The people are all very nice, and I really like Dr. Laxson. She's sweet and funny. I recommend Gluckstadt Dental to all my friends.
From the moment you walk in Gluckstadt Dental you feel relaxed. The office is very nicely decorated and clean. You are greeted at the front desk by a super friendly receptionist who really makes you feel welcome. As you are being walked to your room, everyone smiles and welcomes you. Dr. Laxson is my dentist but even Dr. Horecky will greet you with a smile. Dr. Laxson's dental hygienist is great...no pain whatsoever! Once she is done, Dr. Laxson comes in and begins her exam with a casual and friendly conversation about what concerns you may have. Her calm demeanor and professionalism really make you feel like you are in great hands. Then she begins to look in your mouth and it actually feels good! She is so gentle that I think I may have dozed off for a second! My next appointment is coming up in May and I can't wait to go back.
My family started seeing this dentist out of convenience of the location to our neighborhood. We spent over $400 on two visits for my husband (and yes, we do have dental insurance), paid every bill on time, arrived on time for every appointment, and were overall happy with the service despite its priceyness - until we had a family emergency arise the day of our third visit. We called to let them know we were sorry but my husband was not going to be able to make his appointment. They slammed us with a $50 no show fee, and when we called about it they basically told us this was our problem not theirs and if we didn't pay we would be sent to collections. We will NEVER go back - it is simply not a sound business model to penalize responsible, insured patients for uncontrollable circumstances. I can see issuing a fee if this were habitual or we were repeat offenders, but emergencies happen in life. The last thing you need when going through one is a fine from your money grubbing dentist.
