Cameron Family Dentistry
Reviews
My first visit to Cameron Family Dentistry was great. The office is modern and extremely clean. All of the office staff that I interacted with were really nice. The assistant and hygienist seemed to be knowledgeable and were really understanding when I expressed my concerns and told them that I have really bad anxiety when it comes to getting dental work done. The cleaning went well, and Dr. Galatas was really nice and gentle, he never made me feel alienated for needing to have a lot of work done, he actually said I had really nice teeth, and gave me good instructions that must have hit home because since my last visit I have actually flossed every single day! They have a lot of high tech gadgets that I had never seen before in previous dentists office, and have tablets hung above the dental chair where you can watch TV or a slideshow to help take your mind off of being at the dentist. I have to have quite a bit of dental work done in the next few months and I wouldn't go any where else! I drive practically from Hope Mills to their location, they are worth the commute.
I've had a very pleasant experience at Cameron Family Dentistry each and every visit. I didn't have a dentist in Harnett County and I had tried making an appointment at another dentist off of Buffalo Lakes Rd but found their clerks to be very rude. The entire staff has been friendly and professional. I'm glad I ended up at this dentist office!!! 😃
Okay, not great. Office atmosphere was very nice - big flat screen and keurig in the waiting room, which is great since I waited almost 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. The dentist saw me before the cleaning, which I found unusual. He was rather brusque - recommended around $800 worth of optional preventative dental work (sealants, night guard, etc) and asked me if I was interested in whitening. Felt very much like a sales pitch, as did the "we have scheduled an appointment for you in six months, the appointment card is in your goodie bag", which they charge you $50 for missing if you don't cancel in advance. The cleaning was also brusque - out of the hour and a half I spent in the office, about 10mins was her "power washing" my teeth, flossing, and polishing. I don't feel as if the cleaning was very thorough, and it was rather painful compared to the method which I am accustomed to. Many of the good reviews here on Google are probably part of their incentive program - leave a good review, print it out, and you get $25 off of your next visit. Overall, felt more focused on the bottom line and less on providing great dental care.
We recently had our first appointment here at Cameron Family Dentistry, and right from the start we noticed the cleanliness of the waiting room and how warm the atmosphere was. When dealing with the staff they were all quite professional and friendly, overall leaving us with a very pleasant experience here. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great family dentistry.
I can truly say that the people here at this dentist office were very professional and polite to me and my family when I came for my appointment last week. I love the fact that it was very clean and also had an area for children to keep them occupied while at the dentist. I think this is very good it gets the child's mind off the dentist visit because most of them are scared of dentist. I would recommend this dentist to any family in the area.
