Very satisfied with Appalachian Eye Associates. From start to finish, they were ALL very kind, knowledgeable and patient. I never felt rushed or pushed into anything. I would highly recommend ANYONE to this groups of fine professionals!

As a first-time patient, I was very impressed with the demeanor and knowledge of the technician, who explained every exam as she patiently led me through them. Dr Marvin Walker could not have been more approachable; he readily answered all my questions with the easy air of a person with universal knowledge of all things "eye," all the while giving me the impression that he had all the time in the world just for my concerns. I am extremely impressed by this office and highly recommend it for anyone who is concerned about their eye health.

The staff are great, very professional and friendly. Dr Smith is wonderful, very knowledgeable and spends as much time as needed on your eye exam and on any questions you may have. They gave me 2 types of contacts to try for the best fit. Staff is very helpful when it comes to ordering. Have also used Marvin Walker, who is very caring and patient. Can't say enough about this group. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I most strongly recommend Dr. Smith at Appalachian Eye Associates to anyone needing eye care. I suffer from cataracts and and am at elevated risk for the development of glaucoma. Dr. Smith has taken the time to fully, carefully, and respectfully explain my condition, options, and prognosis. She carefully examined my test results to extract the maximum information from them in order to avoid further unnecessary (and expensive) tests. Furthermore, she has an up-beat personality and is a pleasure to talk to. The staff and technicians are also friendly, helpful, and work hard to accommodate patients' schedules.

The exam that I received with Dr. Smith was very thorough and informative. Dr. Smith and the technician were patient, yet timely. I was taken back right way, within minutes. I have a better understanding of my visual needs after the exam. I was informed about exam procedures gaining increased understanding and I was able to ask questions that were answered. From walking in to checking out I was treated with kindness and respect.
