Physicians Urgent Care - Grand Island
Reviews
I was always very happy with this urgent care previously. This time around with no insurance was a nightmare and full of disappointment and extreme lack of care from either the provider, staff or management. My son was seen December 20th and diagnosed with influenza a. We opted not to take the Tamiflu script, as he generally bounces back pretty quickly. We were told that night by the provider if we changed our mind to just let them know and they would call it in for us. That night my sons fevers were pretty high, so when they called the next morning to check on him I asked if we could go ahead and get the Tamiflu, as his fevers were high and now my spouse and I were both ill. I was told they wouldn't give me the script for my spouse and I and I made it clear it was just for my son. They then told me no, the provider needs to see him again and it will be a $35 follow up visit. So that afternoon I drag my sick son out to be seen again, only to be told when I get there that it will be another $125, as the follow up visit fee is only for "things like fractures." Although it clearly states on their website (I checked after we left) that any recheck for the same condition within 7 days is only $35. It became clear to me at that point that they are not concerned with a high level of patient care, but moreso with profit maximization. I suppose that is what you get when it is a large, not locally owned company. I will stick with either twin rivers urgent care or prompt care from now on.
I had tonsillitis back in December (2013). I went to Physicians Urgent Care and will NEVER go back. It has been a headache ever since. Well, apparently I had an error in my COB, so therefore, my claim was temporarily denied. All that needed fix was some information. Well, because I had my debit card on file, they charged me the full amount since my insurance company didn't cover it. They didn't have the patients to wait a few weeks to get the check from my insurance company. So now I'm out $300 until they literally have the check from my insurance company in hand. The lack of patients this place has is ridiculous. All because of one little mistake. They knew my insurance company was going to cover it completely, they even made a note on my file. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE. If you have one minor mistake, expect to have hundreds of dollars taken out of your account because they want their money now.
I and my husband went in for shots, paid bill with health savings account. they started calling us and sending us bills. we sent a copy of our payment from my health saving account, the lady who is in charge of collecting bills said yes she could see where we paid it but she could not find where it was applied. She said to make a payment because it was too hard to figure out. Then after admitting that it was paid we now received a notice if not paid they will turn us over to collection agency in days. DO NOT GO THERE THEY DO NOT HANDLE BILLING AND DO NOT TRY TO HELP YOU.
Got there when it opened. Very clean, people were polite & professional. Took care of my problem quickly.
Both times I have been there they were amazing!!! Fast and knowledgeable!!!
