Corning Dental Associates
Reviews
My first visit to Corning Dental was December, 1976. Over the years I've been treated by just about every dentist there with Dr. Bates as my primary professional and more recently Dr. Vargas along with literally dozens of dental assistants as well. I have always been treated professionally and competently and in a friendly manner too. True professionals here at the patient chairs and by the wonderful women in the front office too.
I have been going to Corning Dental Associates for several years now. I have always had a very positive and pleasant experience. The staff, from the women working in reception, to the dental assistants and hygienists and the dentists themselves, are interested only in providing comfort and help to the patients of the practice. The dentist's collaborative approach to dentistry is of infinite value from a patients perspective. I had a cosmetic procedure done, and during the course of several hours in the dentist's chair, three of the dentists examined my teeth to ensure the best outcome for me. I could not be more pleased with the service at Corning Dental Associates - I have had a consistently excellent experience with them.
I called as a new patient looking to set up an appointment for a cleaning and the receptionist informed me that I needed to first have an appointment for an exam and then schedule another appointment for a cleaning. I asked her if my insurance would cover both appointments (since my insurance states it covers 2 cleanings per year). She said "I have no idea". I mean, really? You didn't even ask what insurance I have or offer any helpful information. Just awful customer service. They lost a patient due to the receptionists poor customer service skills. I immediately hung up and called another dentist office that was able to schedule me for a cleaning in less than a week. Being polite and helpful go a long way in attracting customers and the receptionist at Corning Dental Associates doesn't seem to understand this.
