Pediatric Dentistry of Glens Falls

I have been bringing my little girl to this practice since she started cutting her teeth. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff has always been kind, knowledgeable and extremely caring during her visits. She is 5 and doesn't mind going to the dentist one little bit. I couldn't imagine ever taking her to any other practice, Dr. Sani is fantastic!!
I was really nervous about my son's first dental visit as he has anxiety with strangers and people touching him, as well as sensory processing disorder. I warned him in advance that he may be scared but that I would be there with him the whole time to help him through. The environment at the office is great for the kids, the staff was wonderful and really helped to put my son at ease even more. I was expecting him to get hysterical and he didn't cry not once. While he was really anxious the whole visit, he was able to keep it together and the staff was able to help keep him calm as I warned him in advance of his issues. I am very happy with all of their service and extremely glad that we picked this office for my sons dental needs.
Everything went great right up until the dentist(I'm not sure his name but it wasn't Dr Sani) came in to tell me my son had a HUGE cavity on a back tooth and he needed to be knocked out with versed in order to fix it! My son is 155 lbs and 5'8.. I told him no, we wouldn't be doing that, that novacaine and laughing gas were sufficient and we would "tough it out" with that. He then went off on me and told me if it didn't get fixed, my son would need a root canal and then he walked off!!!! Like I had told him we wouldn't be getting it fixed?!?!?! I have no idea who this guy is, but not one person told me they saw ANY cavity in my son's mouth, nor has his orthodontist, nor the woman who actually cleaned his teeth! This guy never showed me anything, just went off on me and walked off!!! Needless to say, I was pretty upset when I left and that man will never work on my son again! ( I looked at my sons tooth when we got home and saw NO cavity at all
My daughter was pretty nervous about going to the dentist, and it was all in all an okay experience. The receptionist and dental hygienist that I came in contact with were both very friendly and helpful but the rest of the staff could use improvement in being more personable...they were very unfriendly and made me feel uncomfortable asking questions.
The office is always friendly and efficient. The entire staff is caring. The Front Desk greets us warmly and the assistants talk to my kids and care for them like they are their own. Dr Sani is great with them and sings songs! I wouldn't go anywhere else.
