Emergency One
Reviews
I went to Emergency One about a month ago while experiencing flu-like symptoms. I guess I wanted to be sure that I had the flu and not something worse. The receptionist was pleasant enough, as was the nurse who administered the flu test. However I found the doctor who revealed the test results to be rude, condescending and borderline offensive. Rather than telling me what to do to feel better, this doctor belittled me for not getting a flu shot. He mentioned this about six times, and basically said "maybe next year you'll get a flu shot." I am personally against vaccinations and will not take his advice. Other than the doctor who was a jerk, for lack of better words, my other issue with Emergency One was that I was billed twice. I paid my co-pay, then received another charge which was for 3 lab-tests that did not happen. Then, I was charged $130 for being there "after hours". I was finished with my appointment and out the door a half-hour before the place closed, so this was not the case. If you are very sick and need to be seen immediately, go to Emergency One, otherwise, go somewhere else.
I agree with the other reviewer. DO NOT GO HERE. The nurse was actually great but the doctors are clueless! I went here because I had a skin rash around my ankles and wrists. They told me that is was scabies! I went to a dermatologist the next day and was told it was poison ivy. Huge difference!
Efficient, clean, focused, thorough, and most of all good quality health care in my case. From the front desk, to the nurse, to Dr. Gulati, every one did exactly what I expected of them, and in a pleasant professional manner. The diagnosis was spot on, prescription was faxed efficiently, even the cost of the prescription was addressed. Okay, not a life threatening situation, but dealt with seriously and effectively. The waiting was truly minimal. I would definitely visit again.
Very efficient process, competent medical staff and overall a very good experience.
Do not,DO NOT go there with any problem worse than a paper cut. My husband went there with a joint concern. No advice for heat, ice or further testing. Just told to get a new line of work. Thanks for the dime store diagnosis. Pay the xtra and go to a real doctor!
