Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation - LakeMed
Reviews
i am writing a review, because I feel it is important to acknowledge our people when they they "knock one out of the park" so to speak. My mom is a resident at Kindred. It is going very well. Our family is very comfortable with her there. We like to take her to the lunchroom to eat and then play some cards. On a recent Sunday we were in the lunchroom and i noticed a lady starting to choke. It was apparent she was in trouble. Quickly and calmly two of the resident nurses were all over it. They worked what I think was the Heimlich Manuever and cleared that ladies airway and wheeled her out for further care. I dont think too many people even noticed what was happening. I did, so thank you Michelle Huebner and Janice Sherman. You did a wonderful job.
I have been here at LakeMed for about 4 months now. I can say that it has been a very pleasant experience. I have had physical and occupational therapy to try to get my body stronger and to get my stamina levels up. Things havent always gone smooth, but all in all things have been pretty good. The nursing staff is wonderful, the aids are great. I havent had too many issues while I have been here, and the issues I have had have been taken care of with full professionalism. I would recommend this facility to any one that is in need of transitional care and/or therapy.
Ms. Brown I just wanted to state that your administrator, Vesta Jones at your Painesville, OH facility, is doing a great job. The rooms and hallways are clean and don't have a bad odor like many other nursing homes. Most of the time you probably receive bad or negative reports but I just wanted to let you know what an excellent job she is doing. My sister Suzy Lee, in room #208, has been a patient there for the last eight years. I was going to move her to another place until Ms. Jones took over. She is a pleasant facilitator and works hard at her profession. Thank you Chong Malkamaki.
My boyfriends grandfather needed some rehab a few months ago. He came to Kindred Lakemed for therapy. He never had been in a rehab place he is a healthy man but needed some surgery. When he arrived at the facility the staff there was very welcoming to him. I was there waiting for him to arrive ad when he got there the staff made the welcome comforting. They came in introduced themselves and was getting to know him. During his stay the staff and therapists helped him feel comfortable and make his recovery happen. If the family had concerns or wanted to know anything they were right there to help. He was in no hurry to go home till he felt 100% better, and that's because they were so nice to him and made him feel like everyone cared there.
my experience here at kindred transitional care (lake med) has been great!!! i was in a bad car accident and after needed rehab i cam here and everyone here made me feel welcome. They really care about the people here its like your family although mine is a short term stay i would also highly recommend them for your loved one for long term they have plenty of activities and the people here are great.like in said they do not just treat you as a patient they treat you like family. Not just the nurses and aids either everyone is like that and people i had not even met knew my name and really did care about my comfort.
