ok, just returned from 3-canal root canal on a back molar. i was not looking forward to this, the second of my life, needless to say. i wanted a different endodontist from he of the first, and my regular dentist, Randy Brown (also a STAR), recommended Dr. Hinckley. he said my tooth, which proved to be cracked, was very 'angry,' inflamed and near abscess. so you can imagine the pain.....but i digress. his staff, from the person who made my appointment for less than 24 hours after i called, to Sharon, his sidechair assistant, were wonderful. he was an absolute godsend. i could tell he was particular, and when i remarked on that and thanked them all for getting me in so quickly, he told me they only schedule six patients daily, so they don't have to rush and have the capability of helping an emergency. he was as gentle as i imagine a root canal can be, asked many times if i was doing alright and was kind, not the least condescending or aloof. i realize some of the 'chain' dental offices may have a less expensive rate, but i think i got what i paid for. actually, i KNOW i did, and my recommendations to anyone needing a root canal will be Spencer Hinckley.

At 78 years of age I wasn't too fond of going to the dentist. A root canal that I had in 2003 had not been performed correctly and was causing trouble. I told Amanda, Dr. Hinckley's assistant, that I wasn't looking forward to needles and drills. In a perfect "bed side" manner, she quickly put me at ease with a nose mask and nitrous oxide. In a few minutes I didn't give a damn about the needle. In an hour and a half Dr. Hinckley had corrected the old botched root canal. He drilled through a bridge to get the work done. I had no pain throughout the procedure and only minimal discomfort toward evening. I took one Tylenol pill and went to bed that night. The next day I ate comfortably and had no further discomfort. If I ever have to have anything beyond a filling, I will go to Dr. Hinckley and Amanda. And I recommend that you do that, too.

Amazing Care! I saw Dr. Hinckley after being hurt by another dentist at a chain practice. He was not only very professional, but caring and compassionate. He did an excellent job. From the phone call to his office with a million questions to the front door after finishing- he and his staff deliver amazing care! They are the best! I cannot say enough nice things. I only wish that he practiced all forms of dentistry. He would be my dentist for sure. I highly recommend.
