Dr. Sharen C. Strong, DMD
Reviews
A few weeks ago my wife made an emergency appointment for an uncomfortable broken molar. Cost $125 and tooth not fixed. After a full exam and a cleaning we had a conference with the dentist where she proposed a $17,000 treatment program. Tooth still not fixed. My wife called the dentist's office several times for clarification on several things. Around that time my wife commented to the receptionist that she was going to get a second opinion, Shortly after making the second opinion comment, My wife got a letter from the dentist as quoted below. "Thank you for coming to our office. We want you to obtain dental care which meets your needs. Unfortunately, this letter is to let you know that we will not be able to work with you, beyond treatment we have already given you. There has been a communication gap between us which we do not seem to e able to bridge. We cannot work with the assumption that every recommended step of treatment requires several follow up phone calls to repeatedly clarify the need for that treatment. We need a higher level of trust in the doctor/patient relationship in order to give you the best care." So, we are around $550 into this dentist and my wife's broken and uncomfortable tooth is still not fixed. My wife and I have discussed our experience and have come away with the following opinions about Dr. Strong. 1. Dr. Strong is more interested in selling an expensive treatment plan than taking care of my wife's discomfort. 2. Dr. Strong is a bit arrogant in that she doesn't like to be questioned about her opinions. 3. In comparing prices online, Dr. Strong's prices seem to be higher than the norm. 4. Although Dr. Strong's staff were wonderful, Dr. Strong herself came across a bit cold. My wife did see another dentist and without prompting him, he said, "Lets take care of the broken tooth and then we'll talk about your other needs.
