Dr. Clement has been my dentist since he first set up practice in Florence. At the age of 65 I still have all my own teeth, good gum health, and no problems, The crowns he placed on some of my teeth get compliments from other dentists on the few occasions I have had work done elsewhere. Best of all he treats me like an informed equal instead of talking "down" to me. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good dentist.
Best dental visit I have had. Friendly doctor and staff.
I have a similar story but on the opposite side of the coin. Dr. Clement saved my tooth! I had a bad toothache and it got worse until I had to see a dentist. My regular dentist was serving in Iraq and so I went to a new dentist who said my teeth were beyond saving and I had to get TWO teeth pulled, the one that was hurting me and one I had no problems with whatsoever. Being that I have never had tooth problems I got a second opinion at Dr. Clements office. He did a very thorough investigation and saw that my root was stressed and I didnt even have a cavity! Needless to say I got to save both teeth and they look great. His work looks natural and he has a great personality. I highly recommend him and find it unfortunate that the person above had such a poor experience with such a nice doctor. His dexterity and work with the drills were impeccable in my experience. I work with drills for a living and felt in very competent hands. My daughter is in school to become a dentist and "dental talk" is in our family always. Dr. Clement is a very professional and wonderful man with a caring, kind staff who have never made me feel uncomfortable or put-out to answer your extra questions like in other dental offices. I wish Dr. Clement much success.
Worst dentist I have ever been to. On my first routine exam Clement said I needed 2 crowns. The numbing shots he gave for the first tooth made it numb for two days and my mouth hurt for 2 weeks so much that I could not chew or brush on that side of my mouth. He has poor manual dexterity and during both crown preparations his drill jumped and skipped. The second crown when completed was sensitive so when I went back to him he told me the tooth's root was infected and I now needed a root canal. He prescribed an antibiotic. I went to a different dentist to have Clement's work fixed as I didn't want Clement ever working on my mouth again. The second dentist pointed out that the antibiotic Clement prescribed was incorrect. He asked if the tooth which now needed a root canal was bothering me when I first went to Clement. I said no. The new dentist said that he would never have crowned it in the first place since it had not been bothering me. He said Clement's working on the tooth probably caused the root to die. In addition the margins of Clement's first crown do not look good. The second dentist did excellent work and I will continue to see him What ever you do stay away from Chad Clement's office. It wound up costing me over $2000 in unnecessary work on my teeth and possibly more if the margins of the 1st crown fail in the future.
Dr. Clement and staff were awesome! Nice, quiet, personable chair side manner. Terrible? Pretty harsh. Not in my opinion at all!
