I want to send a sincere thank you to Dr. Marrara and his team at Benner Pike Chiropractic. My Name is Dr. Jeffrey Benezra, I am a fellow chiropractor who was in search of a chiropractor for my daughter who is a senior at Penn State @ State College. She woke up this past Wednesday in severe pain after studying for finals all week. She called our home 4 1/2 hours away in NJ in tears and distress. Not a normal hurt, but one filled with fear and distress. It was finals week, a big 400 level chemistry test awaited later in the morning, and she was due to drive home later that night. She was exhausted, upset and scared. While my wife spoke with her on the phone, I broke a cardinal rule and tried to find a doctor on the internet. I always tell patients don't find doctors on the net, find them by referral. We didn't have time to ask any friends and needed to find help now. I knew from her symptoms an emergency room visit would not be the answer, as she was not a person to take medication, shots, and it was going to leave her feeling hopeless and beside she had to take that test. She needed relief and care fast. A great chiropractor was the thing we needed for her. I could not find any doctors that suited my daughters needs, or passed the level of standards and professionalism I was looking for in this situation. I was getting frustrated, and concerned I was going to have to cancel my office visits for the day, put a portable adjustment table in the truck, and drive out to State College to help her. I finally did one last search, looking for a doctor that specializes in the Gonstead Technique. This is one of the most demanding specialties in the chiropractic profession, and the way that I practice and had been trained. I found that in Dr. Marrara, and called his office at 7:22am, in hopes of leaving a message for him to get back to me. What...he picked up the phone personally as he was there going over important case files for the day. I filled him in on my daughters story, and dilemma and he said what are you waiting for. Call her back, and get her hear as soon as possible. He was only going to be able to be in the office until 10am. My daughter was in his office filling out papers, and being aided by staff in 25 min after driving across town from near Campus. She said that Dr. Marrara was one of the nicest, and most professional doctors she has ever met. She has been around so many great doctors being the daughter of a chiro, and attending many meetings and celebrations through the years. Dr. Marrara took her in, treated her like his own, performed an exam, took x-rays, analyzed them for her all during the busiest part of the morning, in addition to his usual people in for pre-holiday care. Because of his expert hands and mind, she was able to get the pain down from a 9/10, to a 6-7/10 which let her be able to take a test (which she got an A on in Chemistry) and pack up the car and drive home. We are continuing the care while she is home, and will set up appointments for her to follow up with Dr. Marrara during her Senior year spring semester up at State College. I've been seeing Dr. Marrara since I was in middle school- the school nurse checked me out and I had the beginning stages of scoliosis. After seeing him 3 times a week for around two months or so, I felt better than I ever have in my life. As an adult, I served in the Navy, and as a result now live in southern California. I still have yet to find another chiropractic practice that cares as much about their patients. Dr. Tony and Dr. Joe are both excellent chiropractors and people, and I can't tell you enough just how much they've helped me. I always make sure I go back when I visit.

This is an excellent chiropractic office. The doctors really care about their patients and the staff is very friendly.
