I have known Dr. Cinatl for over ten years as a colleague in dentistry and our affiliation in the U.S. Army Reserves and active duty. I have always been impressed by his total commitment to his patient's health. I have observed him clinically make a choice for the patient that may have been a more difficult treatment procedure for him to perform, but it never occurred to him to do what was easier for him to do, but what was going to result in a better outcome for the patient. Many orthodontists in my years of dental experience will remove teeth and also not treat the second molars. Dr. Cinatl never does this. If I needed to have ortho, he would be my first choice.

So I guess my review will be a bit dated since I finished my orthodontic treatments with Cinatl 15 years ago in the 90's, but I still wanted to chime in because I had a good experience with him. I originally saw another State College orthodontist who wanted to pull a bunch of my perfectly healthy teeth which my parents and I didn't feel was well justified. I switched to Cinatl and was very happy with him. He seemed so much more thoughtful about how to achieve good results with me. My teeth were misaligned in a way that was unaesthetic but more importantly produced a terrible and problematic bite and he solved both issues. He was very friendly and compassionate and competent and I was pleased with the results, despite the several years of torture devices that he installed in my mouth ;-) (I made it through braces, rubber bands, headgear, expander and TPA all without a single Tylenol so it couldn't have been TOO brutal!). His office was clean and bright and professional. I ran into Cinatl a few weeks ago downtown and he remembered me and was as friendly as ever. I strongly recommend him!
