Dr Misas saved my life! Had a pap at my previous gynocologist that showed potential cancer. Was referred to Dr. Misas. Turned out I had a stage 4 cancerous growth on my cervix! Immediately I was scheduled for surgery. Long story short--it took 4 outpatient surgeries over a 3 year period approx., but I am alive and well! Scared out of my mind, Dr. Misas calmed me and assured me he could and would make me better-- and he did. I had absolute faith in him-- I knew I would be okay. His bedside manner, way of explaining EXACTLY what we were dealing with, plus, how he was going to treat it--beyond most doctors! Some people have a calling-- they know exactly their reason for being here. His is treating cancer in women. Overheard him once while there when his mother called...what a good son! He treats ALL his patients as if he were treating his mother! My aunt used his partner-- loved him as well! The staff is just as devoted as Dr. Misas. Turns out one of the assistants was a former student of mine--she is so kind. His nurse is a mother of another former student (a student I had while I was being treated, no less!) She was and is amazing! I was concerned that their knowing me outside the office might make it awkward or that my personal business might be made public--Boy, was I wrong! Their professionalism is beyond question! The best part of finding Dr. Misas was his policy-- once a patient, always a patient! I was terrified to have to go to another gynocologist after being cancer free. Turned out I didn't have to! Thank you everyone at Women's Cancer Center-- you are the best! This review may seem over the top. Let me be the first to assure you it is not. I have never done reviews before. However, I do read them when considering doctors. I just wanted other women to know-- if they were as fearful as I. There is someone- some people, who will do their damnedest to help!
