Dr. Aleta L. Detwiler, DMD
Reviews
Best Dentists, staff and environment: Unlike other dentists and dental practices, Dr. Detwiler and Dr. Stiteler are the best. I'll reserve judgement on the 3rd dentist not because I question her expertise, but because her "bedside manner" with me the 1st time was not very positive. Our family has been going to this practice for 30 years except for one year when we had a dental plan at no cost to us for going to a different practice. Bad move! That other dental practice treated us like an assembly line and refused to put sealants on our young children and said a cavity in our five-year-old was okay and wouldn't fill it. We went back to Beautiful Smiles and all three of our children, now ages 26 to 33 are cavity-free. The dentists are perfectionists, personable and continue with ongoing education for the best dental procedures and equipment. When my daughter was young and sustained an injury to her front teeth, the dentist met me at the office at 11 PM to examine and treat her. I have referred friends who had a myriad of dental problems and their teeth are now healthy and beautiful. It is a full-service dental practice and, unlike Tom's review here, they do not recommend unnecessary dental work. No matter their workload, you will never feel rushed. And if you have an urgent need, they will give you an immediate appointment. I've never had a healthy tooth filled and I have never been told I need four cleanings a year ... like one reviewer said. As I said before, we did go to a less expensive dental practice for a year and it was an assembly line process. The dentist couldn't even remember our names and the cleanings took a max of five minutes. And since when is a cavity "okay" and not in need of repair? I think it speaks volumes of a dental practice that my three adult children have never had a cavity ... and I haven't had a cavity in the 30 years I've been going to Beautiful Smiles.
