We were looking for a new dentist as we had just moved to State College. My daughter recommended Dr. Anderton so I called to make an appt. I did neglect to ask what insurance they accepted, so I need to state that up front. However, I showed up for my appointment, had a new patient exam etc and it wasn't until I was checking out that the staff at the front desk told me I would have to pay $179.00. It was the first time anyone told me they did not take my insurance even though they knew that when I arrived. This was definitely not a good experience.

We went through two other providers before we found Dr. Anderton. She's a really great dentist -- friendly, skilled, good at explaining things and willing to listen to the patient. Most importantly, she does not push marginal or questionable procedures on her patients. Her staff is very good and friendly and her hygienists work quickly and well.

I enjoyed my dental experience here as much as one can enjoy going to the dentist. The staff are all very friendly and understanding (it had been a little while since my last check-up). Dr. Anderton is friendly and competent. I had a new patient check-up including x-rays, a cleaning, and a filling. All were done well. It is clear that they value the customer there. The only reason I don't give this a higher rating is because I have only been there twice. I'll be going back in 6 months though.
