I went in there and ordered a large cheese pizza to go at the deli. The lady that was behind the counter was annoyed that I ordered a whole pizza (I hate to see how she is on Fridays when they have their large cheese pizza special) but took my order anyways and told me to come back 15 minutes later. I came back 15 minutes later and she told me that she hasn't started the pizza. Why tell me to come back in 15 mins if she wasn't going to make the pizza? Also, why work there if you're going to be annoyed to take an order that's on the menu? I told her to forget and was nice enough to put back everything else in my basket to it's original places and left and got pizza from Wegman's. I go to Wegman's all the time but thought I'd try something different and go to Weis (Martin St.)... not a good first impression. Will always go to Wegman's now. Lesson learned!

Horribly outdated products left on shelves, anywhere from one month to a year out-of-date, not-so-good dates of everything else, and poor prices. That's why I give Weis a rating of only 2/5. And some pros... Friendly customer service, not too busy, and easy get-in, get-out convenience. The light customer traffic is very nice, but this is also a sign of a business that might struggling to be profitable. They did a huge revamp in 2010 (or was is early 2011?), so the store has quite a bit more space now. I usually only visit for convenience and prepackaged items, but I *always* have to check the dates on everything. Produce and deli is ok, but not great. The bakery is probably one of the worst in town next to Walmart. The bread is bready/powdery and their bakery selection is pathetic. I purchased an Apple pie here once that was marked with a good date but had mold growing inside. Normally no problems, but I avoid their bakery now. For better bakery items visit Wegman's or Giant. And more important, AVOID THE MEAT at Weis packaged by the butcher department. I've bought bad meat from them twice (funny tasting/borderline spoiled even though color was fine), so I never get meat from Weis. Please note this is a review for the Weis along Martin Street on the north side of town. The Weis on the south side of town is much better.

Hours are not great. Tried to stop in before work one morning and they weren't open yet.
