Affordable Dentures

I went to Affordable Dentures this morning with a tooth that needed to be pulled (had a toothache that lasted 5 days straight). I didnt need to make an appt, just sign in by 8am and wait my turn. Once called in (1 1/2 hrs later) I had an xray taken (machine that circles your head-not those painful in mouth xrays), then I was ushered to my room. All the rooms are divided by walls with 2 open doorways in each room. I felt very comfortable and private. I spoke with the nurse about my health conditions and the tooth I needed pulled, she then relayed my info to the dentist who then came in and introduced himself. I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed and he said he would be gentle as he knew what it felt like. He gave me many shots but only felt the first, then I went numb instantly. FInally, I was free of the tooth pain I couldnt get away from for 5 days. Once I was numb, he took his time and was extremely gentle in removing the tooth and he said he didnt want it to come out in pieces, which it didnt. Within a minute, he had my tooth removed and in 1 piece and gauze in my mouth. I was done and felt great. I was so nervous about this visit thanks to the prior negative review and all I can say is shame on you! My experience was nothing but POSITIVE and I will be back to get a partial denture next month. I was not required to pay first and when I was done and paying, that was when I got my pain scripts. Advice to future visitors to this office: Be happy and positive and they will treat you the same:) A+++++++++ service!
Unlike the other reviewer, I found Affordable Dentures to be a life saver. when you are 25 y/o and having to get dentures due to a genetic condition, it is an emotional time. Yes. they make you pay upfront. What? do you think they want to go around trying to repo somebodies teeth?? Yes, my teeth were infected. Yes, it hurt like crazy to get those pulled. BUT most dentist would have sent me home with half of my bottom teeth gone and no new teeth to put in, for 2 weeks while I waited for anti-biotics to clear things up. Dr. Vincent actually gave me a CHOICE. I wanted the teeth out, so he did it, even if he couldn't get me numb first. I wonder if the other reviewer remember to say "hey, i want to wait a few more days". One more point, what the heck else would you be expecting when you have your teeth pulled other than a shot in the mouth to numb you??? Have you never been to a dentist to have a tooth pulled or worked on? that's what they do. he probably didn't warn you about the needle because he figured you were gonna freak out about it. like you did. Bottom line, if you need dentures and don't have insurance, this is the place to go. I've had mine for years now and they are great.
I went there because I had to get 3 teeth removed a few months back. The dentist had told me a few days beforehand that if he started taking the teeth out and noticed that they were still infected, he would prescribe anti-biotics and have me come back once the infection had gone away. Guess what happened. I went there a few days later, he used the local anesthetic needle without warning me about what he was going to use as an anesthetic (yes, maybe I should have looked into what that was, but he should have at least let me know). It had to be done twice, and was pretty bad. So then after that I waited, probably a half hour or more before he started pulling teeth. In the meanwhile I'm hearing other patients having dental work, and it's all in on big room with dividers. I'm not kidding, folks. Welcome to the "Save A Lot" world of dentistry. It definitely adds to the fear factor when you can hear others sounds of pain and misery BEFORE you even go through what you're having done! So he finally gets back to me and pulls me teeth. It was apparently difficult for him to take care of, maybe because of the shape my teeth were in. However, I felt that he was being unnecessarily condescending and even rude several times. I can't remember a lot of what was said, but that seems to be the gist of it. So he ended up pulling the teeth, which was REALLY painful, and one of the reasons might have been due to the fact that my teeth were still infected! That's right. He didn't do what he said. And then when he was done he told me that I would need to get a prescription for a certain type of anti-biotics. He just tells me that they were infected, so I'll need to take those. Well, even if he couldn't tell that they were infected at first, shouldn't he have stopped pulling teeth as soon as he realized that they were infected??? It was just a really aweful experience. I'm never going back there. Don't do it, even if you're broke. What's the difference in price between this place and one that will treat you better? Maybe about 1 or 2 hundred dollars. It's not worth cheating yourself just to save a little money! Do some looking around and go somewhere that will treat you with more dignity! P.S. Oh, I had almost forgotten to say this. The window clerk came to me before they had even started pulling my teeth and had me pay for the procedure BEFORE it was even done. Can they even do that?
