Galveston Eye Care
Reviews
I have been going to Dr. Koyob Ngala, Doctor o Optometry, for a long time. He and his staff have taken care of me. I recently had to have cataracts removed from both of my eyes. He referred me to Dr. Milstein. After all procedures were completed I returned back to Dr. Ngala for the follow ups. I was very pleased with the results. I would certainly recommend the Galveston Eye Care to anyone who may be looking for an eye doctor. Thank you Dr. Ngala for your excellent service.
I was not impressed by the quality of service. The staff was extremely unprofessional throughout my entire experience. They lacked any kind of professional customer service you would expect. I was new to the clinic and when I was asked to go into a room to wait they just pointed down the hallway and said "wait there". I had to remind them to sanitize the equipment before my examination. They did not explain what they were doing when examining my eyes. I was taken a back when I had puffs of air shot into my eye without any warning. And communication on the phone was horrible from setting up my appointment to asking questions about changing my prescription. It was not until I was able to talk to the doctor did I get the help I needed. The staff here needs to attend a course on customer service for their patients.
Do not go here. They would not give me a written RX for contacts or glasses and would not quote my contacts unless I was "Paying now." Also they charge $50 extra for services other doctors include, contacts exam was $109, but not worth the price if they will not do good business.
PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!! The staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. I could deal with an older facility, but a staff that lacks interpersonal skills in a field of patient care is very unacceptable. On top of being treated disrespectfully, I had to wait 35 minutes after my scheduled appointment to be seen. And when I was finally called, the optometrist did not even say anything when I walked in the room like a normal, professional, doctor would. I said hello first, and he didn't even have to decency to make eye contact with me before immediately instructing me to remove my glasses. After the horrible and awkward eye exam, the billing specialist tried to bill me an addition $50 outside of my copay. So, I had to call my insurance company to expose their mistake. As a medical student, I am simply disgusted. Patients should not be treated like this. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!
I go here for my eye care and have never had problems they Are always willing to help and they dont care if you call them. I would give them 5 stars if the office was a little newer but the machinery is the latest. The doctor is good and his not chatty but will answer your questions.
