I have been going to cool smiles ever since my children and I moved to Texas in '09. I have NEVER had any problem with them til Friday. I live in Zapata and I had an appointment with my daughter on Friday 9/5 at 5p.m. I get that the staff probably had a long day and that they were wanting to get home. We were 10 min early to the appointment and we did have quite a bit of wait in the waiting room. When we did get called into the back it was getting closer to their closing time and we were made to feel very rushed with everything! After my daughter got her teeth checked and x-rayed it was pointed out that she would need some sealants and that a tooth that had been bothering her was needing attention but because it was getting later they just said that I would have to make another appointment to come back next week. I have told them repeatedly that I am currently without a vehicle, that I live in Zapata, and that it is not very easy for me to get to Laredo. She could have had the sealants but the dentist assistant was busy talking with 3 other co workers and didn't bother to check to make sure that the insurance would cover the procedure. So again we were told to make another appointment. I really don't see the point in making an appointment at 5 if the things that need to be done to the patient doesn't even bother to get done! I am hoping that this was just a one time incident!

At our most recent visit, it was my daughters birthday and all the staff (including the dentists) came and placed a princess headband and sang her the birthday song. It was a surprise to her and it was great. Thanks for that, she loved it.

Excellent for kids. The hygienists, assistants, and dentists are all very kid friendly. They make you feel at ease. More importantly, they make your little one feel at ease.

I never liked dentist to be honest. This was my first time at Kook Smiles and I think is a nice place for kids and also for us. I had a great experience with every person I saw today... I recommend to go early because they won't be to many kids crying. I schedule my appointment for 9 am. . Everything was ok and fast. Nice place, nice environment... The only thing I saw it was missing today was music =) My teeth feel so pretty today.

I scheduled an appointment for my 3 kids on a Saturday at 9:45 a.m. Knowing that they can't verify private insurances on Saturdays I called Friday a day before and asked them to verify it and so I wouldn't have any problems the following day. I spoke to a "Veronica" who asked me for basic information and she supposedly checked and reassured me that everything was ready for my Saturday appointment. Next day I woke up early, get kids ready, get there on time, they have me there waiting and at 11:08 they tell me that they can't see my kids because they can't verify my insurance on Saturday. HELLOO??? I said, that's exactly why I called yesterday and they told me everything was ready. AUGGHH!! I got so upset!!! and that's not all, The room was so packed that there were people seated on the floor!!! HELLO AMERICA!!! I wish I would've taken pictures of those moms and kids sitting on the floor.
