Overall: Poor customer service and unsanitary examination practices I do not recommend this office. On my first visit, Dr. Garcia examined my teeth without utilizing a mask to cover his mouth and nose. He breathed all over my face while executing his examination. While thorough, the examination was uncomfortable due to the lack of mask or gloves utilized by the doctor. At the completion of the visit, I scheduled an oral surgery with the office for approximately one month in the future. I informed the office that I was pregnant and provided them with the contact information for my OB/GYN at the initial examination appointment. I asked them to contact my OB/GYN for any questions or concerns regarding the scheduled procedure. I will say that Dr. Garcia initially discouraged me from scheduling the procedure at all due to my being pregnant, but easily relented when I asked if it was at all possible. His discouragement seemed more like an unwillingness to work than a real concern for my safety. One day prior to my scheduled surgery (3 weeks after the initial examination appointment), the office called and asked if I would be willing to move it an hour earlier so they could go home early. I was unable due to work obligations. On the day of my surgery and approximately 1.5 hours before it was scheduled to start, the nurse called me and told me that my OB/GYN had cancelled the surgery. I asked why and they responded with the fact that my OB/GYN claimed the surgery was “too risky.” I asked them if the OB/GYN was a dentist also and they immediately put me on hold. After holding for approximately 30 seconds, the nurse told me that no matter what Dr. Garcia will not execute the surgery and that was final. Then she hung up. I followed up with my OB/GYN only to find out that Dr. Garcia’s office called only 30 minutes prior (about 2 hours before the actual surgery) to speak with my OB/GYN and “ask her permission.” Waiting until the DAY OF the surgery to gain confirmation from my OB/GYN leads me to believe that Dr. Garcia just didn’t want to work or maybe that he was unhappy to take a Tricare client because of the lower payment he received. Either way, I have lost total confidence in this man’s professional and technical ability. I would NOT recommend him to anyone seeking a dentist, periodontist, or any consultation of any sort. He is unclean and unmotivated to work. His office is unorganized and unprepared to handle their customers. Their customer service is poor and they will just waste your time. Please take your business elsewhere, for your sake.
