My son broke his hand and we were recommended to Dr. Warmen by Fossil Creek Urgent Care. We waited 45 minutes to see the doctor, who spent maybe 5 minutes with my son before the technician came in to put his hand in a cast. The technician spent the entire time complaining about the staff telling him how to do his job, including Dr. Warmen. We were then told when we checked out that our insurance didn't cover the cost of the cast so the visit was $545. When I called BCBS, they said they do cover the cost of the cast but because the doctor's office coded it a certain way it would be applied to the deductible; basically I was outright lied to by the billing person. The whole experience was very bad.
His office staff is pleasant but they are always late. We have been to this office at least 4 times. I had never been seen within 30 minutes of my appointment time. Most times it was 40 minutes to an hour late. This time I decided to mention my frustration to Dr. Warman. He debated it with me at first and then said that as the day goes on they tend to get more behind. He said if I wanted to be seen on time I should make the first appointment of the day. Funny thing was that two of my appointments were just that - first thing in the morning, for that very reason. At that point he argued that he is never late. I was so disappointed in his attitude that we will not return. So if your appointment is at 3pm you should expect to wait an extra 30 minutes? What kind of logic is that? Maybe they should schedule better if they know that!
My daughter and I have had frustrating experiences with Dr. Warman twice now. Both visits, we waited an hour and a half to be seen, for him to come in and spend two minutes of his time with us. After only touching my daughter's injured foot, he proudly exclaimed that it was doing much better. When I told him she hasn't improved (her foot is still swollen and she's putting less pressure on it than in our last visit) he told me I wouldn't be able to see her improvement anyway because I'm with her every day. EXACTLY. I know when my daughter isn't feeling well, and it takes more than a few seconds to do a thorough exam to tell me otherwise. He was rude, arrogant, and in a hurry. He and his staff pay little attention to detail. I repeatedly corrected him and his staff on which foot was hurting her (which was very obvious if he'd even look at her);he even wrote in her chart that he put a "long arm cast" on her, when he did not (we weren't even there for her arm!), spelled her name wrong, and referred to her as a "him" several times. How much attention is this guy paying if he can't even get her gender right, much less which limb he is supposedly treating. We'll NEVER be back. This office is a joke.
we made an appt for my daughter who broke her arm. My daughter has down Syndrome. The receptionist told my wife that they do not treat children with down syndrome. When we saw Dr. Warman he would NOT listen to my wife when she was explaining my daughters medical history. Because he did not listen to my wife we had to take my daughter back to the emergency room a few days later and start this ordeal over. Dr. Warman seemed put out that my daughter had special needs. This is just part of what happened because of this Dr. At this time we are finding a new orthopedic Dr. When we speak with the other Orthopedic Dr’s offices and tell them we initially saw Dr Warman, the response is such that they know about Dr Warman and have had experience with other patients who saw him. They do not say anything negative about him, but you can tell the know of him and there is something wrong.
Took my daughter to Elite Care Emergency Center for possible broken elbow. They took x-rays, but wanted me to follow up with Dr. Warman in 2 days for further review and gave me his phone number to set up an appt. Called the ONLY number they gave me which happened to be his cell phone number. He was extremely rude on the phone and demanded to know where I got this number from and that he had to stop operating on a patient to take my call. I told him that Elite Care gave me this number and that this was the only number they gave me. He then gave me the office number and pretty much hung up on me. I'm shocked at this "doctor's" so called bed-side manner and unprofessional behavior during this phone conversation. So much for a first impression and I immediately knew that I was NOT going to take my daughter to someone who just treated me that way. I spend way too much money every pay period on my medical insurance to have it get wasted on an uppity jerk like this. And I also wonder why in the world he is taking calls during operation...I know if my daughter was the one being operated on that I would not want her surgeon to be taking phone calls during the procedure no matter how important it may be - put your cell phone away or have your nurse screen calls before you take them to determine if they are truly emergencies. Dr. Warman, you just lost a patient and I will make sure everyone I know and speak to will know how you truly treat people. I did call Elite Care and inform them about the incorrect phone # they gave me and provided them the correct office # and told them that I will NOT be going to that person and that maybe they should think twice before recommending future business to that "doctor".
