Kindred Hospital Sugar Land

They have a very large staff. Problem is they all stand around waiting for someone else to do there job. Standard answer is not my job who cares just find some one who is job it is!!!!!! usually 8 plus people chatting leaning and talking on cell phones 2 or 3 working very slowly. Stay as far from this place as you can.
Overall the professionalism of the staff was exceptional. The physical and occupational therapy is wonderful here - Jharna and Michelle Hanna really made me feel comfortable by working with me everyday. I feel like I have more strength than I did before. The nursing staff made me feel at home by checking on me every hour, addressing medical need, as well as assisting me with walking. Mary-Rose and Sam would check would check on me even if they are not assigned to me to ensure I was okay. The hospital feel like a family oriented place.
I was in Kindred for three weeks for wound care. The hyperbaric chamber sped up the healing process and Ebone the hyperbaric nurse explained everything real well and was a total sweetheart. The staff was friendly and attentive and seemed genuinely interested in helping. The physical therapy staff were also great. The food was also pretty good in the context of hospital food. All in all my stay was a positive experience because of the nurses and rest of the staff. If you require a prolonged stay in the hospital Kindred is a good choice.
My husband passed away, and all I was told by the Dr's. was ¨We are surprised he passed. Well, if they were surprised how do they think his family felt. I came for a visit and was told my husband was fine and 2 hrs. later he died. Do not go or put your loved one in this hospital. Action pertaining to this matter is pending.
My wife was here in April 2014. Almost the entire time she was in ICU. The care was excellent.
