Mountain View Hospital

I went to the emergency room very sick thinking I had food poisoning and then was admitted to the hospital because of my bloodwork and my low blood pressure. I was given an IV of iron in an IV line that was "positional" (the nurse's description) which then leaked out into my tissue created a brown spot and hard lumpy scar tissue that I still have two months later. Once they admitted me, I developed a severe headache over the next day (I believe because of my blood pressure) and was given Tylenol which seemed to help a little. This was easily the worst headache/pain I have ever experienced. Then, when I had been given the maximum daily allowance for Tylenol, the overnight staff seemed to not care that I was hurting and delayed giving me anything that would help for HOURS and gave no explanation as to why! I actually sent my husband to my house to get me some Ibuprofen. I have never been so miserable and frightened in my life! I called later that week to voice my concerns about the scarring in my arm and the general lack of compassion from the staff and was met with initial concern and a promise to follow up which did not happen. I will never go to this hospital again and I will advise everyone I know to do the same.

Told me if I paid in full i would get 20% off of what I owed. They made it seem like it was the full amount that would be charged. Conviently failed to mention that I would recieve a seperate bill from the doctor.

2 hours in the waiting room. My husband had a severe pain, and the doctor didn't even try to help him.
