Utah Valley Eye Center: Cook Todd MD
Reviews

Four years ago Dr. L. Todd Cook did an amazing repair on my sons face. He was 6 at the time of the injury. He was riding a scooter that had lost the protective end cap on the handle bar when he hit a bump and fell. When he fell he took the scooter handle bar in the face 1 inch below his eye. The injury was so ugly. It opened like a huge 3rd meaty eye below his right eye. It was not a neat injury. (Dr. Cook said he would have lost the eye had the injury been an inch higher.) Initially I took him to a family Dr. who advised we go to Utah Valley Hospital and seek a plastic guy to fix it. We were very blessed that day. I requested a plastic and got Dr. Cook. He had just come off of the Mountain with his Mtn. bike when he got the call. He came in and did a beautiful job of putting my son back together. The scar is flat and neat with no stitch marks. It is beautiful and scarcely noticeable. It does not pucker or move with his facial movements even though it was deep. This injury had the potential of being a large problem to my son for the rest of his life. Facial scars can cause insecurity and be a big hurdle for kids to accept. Dr. Todd Cook was compassionate and careful. I thank him for his efforts and sacrifice in obtaining his education so that he can help others. And most of all for taking that call that day.
