I have been a patient since 2005 when I started to see Dr. Dale. She has since left the practice and I was assigned to see Dr. Michael Campbell. I have had the best care and support from this practice. The staff and Dr. are nothing but amazing. They go the extra mile to make sure that you have what you need before making any medical/surgery procedure. If anyone is in need of amazing and caring specialist please look at them. On Jan. 9, 2014 I had my right hip replaced by Dr. Markham. Basically all I had to do was to show up at the hospital. Ceil, Dr. Markham's secretary, made all of the appointments that I needed with directions to each location and details of what I was there for, she also gave me information where I could call to attend a class that explained what to expect before and after surgery, she called in prescriptions, etc. The whole process could not have been any easier. Dr. Markham is the best surgeon EVER. Before surgery he explained in detail the operation and what I could expect. He was spot on. My surgery went perfectly. The pain after surgery was just at the incision site and very minimal. I had no pain in my hip anymore. I was able to participate in physical therapy the next day. I followed instructions that I was given and have recovered nicely and much faster than I expected. I am now scheduled for my left hip replacement in April and I have absolutely no hesitation. I cannot say enough good things about Ceil and Dr. Markham. Their thoroughness and professionalism scored big points with me and I will never forget that. Should you ever find yourself needing this procedure, I strongly recommend Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists and Dr. Markham!
