My mouth and gums are in much better shape than when I first started seeing Dr Garfield 15+years ago when he came to the practice he now owns. I get my teeth cleaned 2-3x a year and have had 3 crowns over the years which I am pleased with. He fixed up some botched work of another dentist from years ago and taught me how to better take care of my teeth. He referred me to a periodontist whose work was excellent as well. Over the years I’ve witnessed the office being remodeled and updated. Its a small office with 4 dental chairs each in their own room. Its always impeccably clean and has good magazines which you wont have time to read because despite a steady flow of clients the office is punctual. I feel I am treated well and respected. Upon arriving I am greeted with a smile and I leave smiling. This is a great dental office.
I have been a patient of Dr Garfield's for twelve years. I have never received anything but the most professional service from Dr Garfield or his staff. I have had a lot of work done before and after I moved to Richmond so I am no stranger to fillings and root canals. Dr Garfield has always taken x rays when he is considering advising work to be done. In fact I can't remember a time he hasn't shown me the x rays and explained them to me. Dr Garfield has never pressured me to have any work done and has always advised me on what he believes is the best course of action. He has also cautioned me whenever he has had concerns over the procedure. Dr Garfield's staff has always been very professional with me. I realize no one is perfect - but after twelve years of visiting this office I do not believe any of his staff would be flippantly careless with a patient's confidentiality or security. Pam and the rest of the staff at Dr Garfield's office have always been very professional and helpful. I have never heard them talk about other patients or any of their personal information. I know they have to deal with personal information and I have full confidence they do so with discretion. They do work in a small office and I guess if you wanted absolute perfect security they could build a sound proof wall for the staff to stay behind with a sound proof window and give you a number when you come in and flash it on an overhead screen when your number is called so you can come on back. I don't think I would like that crazy world.
I was posting a review for Dr. Garfield and came across this very surprising review. Dr. Garfield has been nothing but professional in my dealings with him for ten plus years; as well as his staff. After chemotherapy, he worked successfully on numerous problems that he could have referred me out for. As an employee of a referring Oral Maxillofacial Office, I KNOW that Dr. Garfield receives xrays and will not do surgery without them. He has excellent reviews from all of our patients which can be confirmed on numerous websites. This review concerns me; it has the potential to ruin the reputation of a good man and his practice. This is a passive aggressive approach and just proves to me that you nor your roommate are professional enough to voice your concerns in a constructive manner with him or his office personally. However, by your posted pictures, it seems to me you are looking for a missing body part which explains a lot. I trust the public to come up with their own conclusions. By the way, HIPAA is spelled incorrectly. Dr. Garfield is a great dentist, ethical, and a compassionate person.
