Friendly staff!
Good morning, I wanted to take the time to share with you a very distressing situation that happened at your store located at 4128 Rucker Avenue, Everett, WA. Recently, I purchased three packages of boneless skinless chicken thighs. I brought them home and put them in my refrigerator and then two days pulled them out to repackage them for freezing. When I cut open the packages, a horrible odor was present, as the meat had spoiled. I checked the use by date and it was the same day I was packaging them so they should have still been fine but clearly was not. My wife took them back to the store to exchange them. She went to the front counter and explained to the customer service manager Amy what had happened. Amy told my wife that she was lying and that there was nothing she could do. My wife then went and got the date of our transaction from our bank and tried again. Still they said their was nothing they could do. Finally she produced the debit card that was used for the transaction, our club card, and the date of transaction and still they said their was nothing they could do. At this point my wife asked to speak with the general manager as she was tired of being insulted and called a liar and Amy refused to even go and speak with the general manager let alone produce him. At this point my wife walked out in tears. A manager at your store named Amy insulted my wife, called her a liar, and accused us of being thieves. As far as I am concerned, this is an unacceptable lapse in judgment and customer service. Living on a budget, I cannot afford to buy spoiled meat and that is what your company sold me and then refused to fix the situation. I will not be spending my money at your store from this point forward and you have lost a life long customer. Rest assured that I will be telling this story to everyone one I know. Mike Lewis
