Mercer Island Dentistry

Reviews

Unfortunately this has to be the worst dental practice I have ever been too. I would have rated it 1 stars if it wasn't for the relatively nice interior which at least gives it the appeal of a reputable office. It takes on average 5 tries to get through to the front desk. Don't bother leaving a message on the answering machine since it usually takes them up to 4 (!!) days to return a call. I ended up having to dial back until I get through only to end up talking to an edgy front desk person who tried to rush me off the line so she can see to the next customer. I was also surprised at the amount of "necessary" work that was suggested to me. Before moving to Mercer Island I have been seeing several dentists regularly (I am big on my 6 month check ups) and never had to get any work done. All a sudden I am supposed to have 3 locations that could need "precautionary" treatment with an estimated bill of $750. I respectfully declined but asked for a copy of my X-ray pictures to show to my old dentist in Portland. He couldn't make out what they were talking about since everything checked out just fine in his opinion. Since I already had my general exam I decided to get my teeth cleaning done there too to qualify for the free sonic tooth brush. I never had anyone clean my teeth in 20 minutes before. It seemed rushed and sloppy. Still waiting for that tooth brush too, 4 weeks and counting...
