Ridgefield Physical Therapy

Reviews

I am a registered nurse and I believe RPT is the very best physical therapy you will find. The atmosphere at Ridgefield PT is warm and friendly focusing on the positives of your body and cheering you on to get stronger and to get the best outcome possible. I have received therapy from Ridgefield Physical Therapy for several months following a total knee replacement and also twice for back injuries. It really HURTS to rehab after a total knee. Getting my leg straight was a challenge. Getting a good bend in my new knee was torture. I just remember feeling like "I can do it! Add more weight! Make it tough!" Pete or Corrine would be right there coaching me on and listening to me whine. Measurements were celebrations - even if they stayed the same. "You held the gain!" They coach about home workouts and are patiently tactful about listening to the fibs. My highest compliment for Pete is that he has the gift of an artist to make you want to hurt to get better. Rehab PT after a back injury is very important. RPT teaches ways to exercise to strengthen muscles without putting additional strain on your back. Then they combine deep tissue ultrasound, electro-stimulation, and massage. Both Pete and Corrine do great massage. Corrine does trigger point massage to get knotted muscles to relax. This is all followed by heat or cold. My back is so much better after every visit. My past experience BEFORE finding RPT has been to get so frustrated and insulted that I would quit going to PT after a few visits. Each patient is a special patient at RPT and rehab programs are set up for the individual. They are the BEST!
