The dentist is direct, personable, fantastic, but the hygenist makes me want to never return! My children were the only ones present and the two year old was scared and wouldn't open her mouth, when I told her that it was okay and she didn't need to be nervous, the hygenist scolded me rudely for saying "nervous." My eight year old son, 1) has Aspergers and cannot focus without something occupying his hands 2) she was getting beneath his gumline and so he was bleeding. She kept scolding him for squirming and called me over, so I came to hold his hand; not only did she scold me for coming over, saying that PARENTS are the reason kids do so horribly in the dental office, but had the nerve to say "It's not hurting him, he's fine" while he's bleeding and trying to affirm that it does indeed hurt. I've definitely had hygenists with a less than artful or gentle hand and I also affirm that IT HURTS! Still, it had to be done, so I told him that if he didn't sit still, I was going to get the tools (which you can get just about everywhere, I have a set for my teeth) and do it myself at home. He stayed still. Afterward, she told me,"See, it was fine as soon as you left." Aside from that, her prognoses were quite doom and gloom, but the dentist contradicted those. She was repeatedly argumentative and aggressive until she got her way and then she was unfailingly conciliatory. In spite of the awesome dentist, I am 98% sure that I will not be going to this dentist again.

We've been going here for approximately two years. Always thought service was great. This last routine cleaning for my kids was followed up with a bill for $58. When I contacted them to find out why I had this charge when my insurance covers the cleanings fully I was told it was for "dental hygiene instruction." I asked if this meant that when the dr came in and spent two seconds telling my kids how they should brush their gums better and make sure they get the backside followed with handing them a toy dinosaur to practice on I was told yes. THAT IS ABSURD! Won't be coming here again!

My children went to Hardie Dentistry for a couple of years. We started going there because he accepted my state insurance and it was conveniently located. The office is clean, his staff friendly. The kids also loved the prizes. Though neither Dr. Hardie nor any of his staff ever behaved inappropriately, or gave me reason to distrust them - I had a nagging feeling that something was wrong. He recently told me that two of my children had cavities and needed fillings. I decided to wait and see how things progressed, as the cavities were said to be in baby teeth, and I didn't see the point of filling teeth that would be lost anyway. Also, that nagging feeling wouldn't leave. I felt that I couldn't trust Dr. Hardie. His office later called to try to set a date for fillings, but I put them off, and decided to get a second opinion from a nationally top rated dentist. Turns out neither of my children had cavities. [As a side note - I did find out that having cavities in baby teeth can be problematic, as the decay can cause problems. So, ignoring cavities in baby teeth isn't always the way to go. Depending on the case, they may need to be filled.] I don't know if Dr. Hardie is incompetent, or was trying to scam me. Perhaps he felt the profitable yet unnecessary drilling of healthy baby teeth wasn't a big deal, seeing as how those teeth would be replaced anyhow. Then again, maybe he really thought those teeth had cavities. I don't know. Either way, I would not recommend him, and strongly discourage people from seeing him. I'm so glad that I listened to my feelings and got a second opinion. The sad part is that one of my children has had a cavity filled by Dr. Hardie. Looking back, I don't know if it was necessary, if the doctor made it up, or if he just made a mistake. I won't be back - and I will never, ever recommend him.

The front office staff and dental assistant very sweet and nice, the Dr. on the other hand needs to work on his chair side manner. He unclearly stated what was wrong with my child looked at me said I could get a second opinion if I wanted, walked off and literally left me with my child and questions standing there. Not even a goodbye I hope your child feels better or thanks for coming in nothing, off he went to more important things I guess. I had some questions on what my child should be eating and how long to give Motrin, but apparently my questions we all poo poo to him. I have never in my life asked for a second opinion, but as I was walking out their door I was on the phone to another dentist office. I honestly would not bring my dog here. The only positive things are the place is clean and the girls are very sweet. I ended up finding an appointment with another clinic immediately following that one at a place called Adventure Dental, at least they explained to me what was going on and was concerned about any of my questions.... If you brig your kids here good luck..

They have a lot of miscommunication, I had an appointment schedule and they called to reschedule because DR was going to be out of the office and once I had reschedule the next week I received another phone call to reschedule again because they were going to be close. Not professional at all, and there hours suck, customer service suck.
