Royal Glamorgan Hospital

There is an intrinsic culture of bullying and Omniscience within this trust, or at least many of its staff. From being mis-diagnosed for a heart attack to being bullied by a ward manager, I've met it all. If, God forbid you have any medical knowledge then please don't let them know because it will put them into competition mode. I must stress that many staff are incredibly helpful and not all can be tarred with the same brush, but when you are in a hospital bed with a suspected stroke, (TIA), and end up putting a seventeen stone female patient with a UTI induced dementia back into bed because the nurses are sitting on their backsides drinking tea, then something has to be wrong? You will note that there are clouds of posters throughout the hospital saying how firm the trust would be with patients who bully, cause violence or are abusive, the trust should put posters up stating this should also be the case with the staff who seem to do it to patients more frequently than they would let you know.
my daughter received very high quality care in the critical care areas ITU and HD. Cannot speak too highly of them. Different story when she was transferred to a ward 20 to be exact. Poor nursing and hygiene standards, bringing back unpleasant memories of my husband's poor treatment whilst on ward 19 eight years go. Wards like being in the workhouse. Minimal light and care. As someone who spent thirty five years as a sister at the old East GlamorganHospital Very disappointed standards have declined.
I have had 2 recent stays in RGH, one in Ward 12 and one in Ward 14.The level of care I received was second to none, Staff were kind, caring and very professional. If I have to be admitted to hospital in the future I sincerely hope it will be back to RGH Ward 12 or 14. I am referring to my stays as all inclusive holidays with very obvious benefits.
Very quick wait when I injured my leg and very friendly staff. Probably the best hospital I've been to. Even better free parking
In and out in 15 mins, that's the way I like it.
