No self checkouts, understaffed. Easier to go up the Frys up the road rather than be a snob and go here.

just moved to rita ranch. i prefer safeway overall, but this store is smaller than normal safeway. the staff said it was another store before safeway took over. so,less of a selection, but overall a good store, clean and nice staff.

The Safeway employees at this location are really nice and helpful. I think that they must consistently have good management. Occasionally I have had a grumpy or disinterested employee but that is definitely the exception. The produce and meat department employees are VERY helpful and will give you samples before you buy. I love this place. The only thing that bothers me about Safeway lately is that to get the best buys, you have to have all the coupons from both Wednesday and Sunday flyers PLUS your loyalty card. It just irritates me that my loyalty card is not enough. This is a corporate decision obviously--and a poor one IMHO.
