The dentist and hygienist are great professionals but the sales dept does not perform on the same level. They charge an exorbant amount of money for routine procedures. They didn't take the time to explain my insurance coverage before beginning the procedure. They were also eager to make appts every three months fully knowing most insurances cover two visits or less a year.
Buyer BEWARE! I was referred to this dentist from another dentist since he didn't do pediatrics. Initially they were great, however I really felt like they were more about the sales end of things then trying to actually help my son. On our second appointment they called to remind us of the appointment, i had just received a call from my work prior to that asking me to come in the next day. I let the lady know that we would need to reschedule the appointment because of that. She said that there would be a $100 rescheduling fee if I did that. A rescheduling fee for cancelling when I'm giving them 24 hours notice? How does that make sense? That was my last visit to this dentist...
I thought this place was nice they seemed really friendly! They charged me for with expensive unecesaary procedures not covered by my insurance without explaning them to me. For example who ever heard of paying 185.00 for some BS cleaning procedure, when basic cleaning is covered by insurance for free. They lost my business for sure. I know the economy is bad, That is no excuse to godge honest hardworking people.
I'm new to the area was given a referral to this office from friend. I recently had work done. initially the receptionists were welcoming and friendly I love the dental staff here. (Dentists and Dental Hygienists) I want to continue at this office. However, The Sales Staff made me feel... uneasy? When given an estimate for my daughters braces, I was told the amount not covered by insurance would be either $2,600.00 or $1,600.00. I wanted to know the total amount covered before bringing her back in. I was told I could call my insurance carrier and ask them or pay an additional fee to find out. When I said "I'll have to go to another office that can give me a total price" She didn't seem to care to try and accommodate me ? It is really unfortunate because my daughter loved her new dentist and the orthodontic staff. Is this how business is done? Am I wrong for wanting to know the total amount not covered first? I'm very confused and irritated. Lastly, I like to pay cash. I had a balance of $230.00 of $2,000.00 not covered by my insurance. My daughters appointment was in 3 days I planned to pay the amount then. Only to find the office had already automatic removed it from my checking account. Who is out of line here?? Im rating the front office (sales and reception ) Not the great dentists and staff in the back office.
