At first I thought this was a fine office. It was clean and the office staff was presentable. However, after the consultation and a few other second opinions I have to say I was very disappointed. The doctor recommended a VERY aggressive procedure and really put the fear of god into me with the prospect of what would happen if I didn't follow "his protocol." I was going to just agree and do it but something told me to get another opinion. I am so glad I did. Turns out I did not need anything close to the procedure he recommended. I'm glad to say it's been over 2 years and I am perfectly fine with the care I did receive. The other thing was that once I decided to go to another doctor, the office staff became rude and demanded payment immediately. Even though at first they said it "don't worry, we can bill your insurance." I don't believe I was rude - I called them and thanked them for the consultation and told them that after careful thought I decided to be go to another doctor for the treatment. I also asked them if they would be so kind to bill my insurance. The response from the office manager was that they would not bill insurance and that I must pay within 10 days or the account would go into collections. I asked if they could bill my insurance for reimbursement and I would pay my portion immediately. She stated "absolutely not" and that I would need to take care of it myself. I'll say also that at the time they were on the approved list of providers for my insurance! Rather than continue a very unprofitable relationship with this firm...I paid immediately and moved on. I just don't understand how businesses can continue to act this way and seem to thrive. I will never go there again.
