Westlake Village Urgent Care
Reviews
I went into this office for urgent care a couple of months ago. i had that bad flu that was going around. i showed the receptionist my insurance card and she accepted it and took away as i was told to sit down. after 30 minutes i saw the doctor. i was told to take claritan and she prescribed antibiotics. I was returned my insurance card. This weekend i experienced something in my eye that would not leave and it was painful. Since i had been there before i showed my insurance card and told them i had been there before. The receptionist then declined my insurance card by saying "oh no i don't need that right now. Have a seat" in which i did for 40 minutes. When i was called to the window, I asked if they needed to see my insurance card and she said "no" because my insurance card was not accepted at that clinic and that their records showed i owed $138.00 and that i better pay them right there and then. The receptionist was so rude that it just made me sicker. The whole time i was there all the staff could talk about is how disorganized they were due to their new office but yet they sure had all my financial information on hand. Lesson learned: no matter what shape you're in, bleeding profusely, broken nose, throwing up, always make sure and demand and spit in the receptionists face weather your insurance card is accepted there or anywhere for that matter.
My daughter and I had a good experience at this office today. She had an ear ache, and we walked in at about 8:15AM. The paperwork wasn't bad, and the wait was 10 or 15 minutes. (One flaw: the office staff in the reception area were too casual.) The exam and diagnosis were quick: strep throat plus an ear infection. An antibiotic was prescribed, and after a short discussion with the Dr., we were on our way.
Came in right before closing on a Friday night. Waited about 20 min. Had a very professional Dr. Great option when you can't get to your regular Dr. They are open 7 days and are a Family Practice specializing in Internal Medicine.
I think I had excellent care. Dr. Devgan was very careful, thorough and kind. I used this service because my physician was out of town and, should I need to, I would use this service again.
Staff was great, wait time was minimal, and the reception person even wrote out my paperwork for me as I slammed my index finger in a door and couldn't write. I was very pleased.
