Five Roads Acupuncture
Reviews
I have been doing acupuncture for 15 plus years and always have found it useful to my overall health and well-being. I started working with Melissa 2 years ago and am so grateful to have found her. From headaches to allergies to stress related anxiety she keeps me on my path to wellness. I have also gotten great results from the traditional Chinese medicines she has prescribed. I highly recommend Melissa.
I was afraid to go back to Acupuncture after a bad experience with another place. Melissa with Five Roads Acupuncture was great! She took the time to make sure I was taken care of with my Acupuncture treatments for injuries I had. I was able to get quick results with a painless treatment program. I would highly recommend her practice to anyone that has had a bad experience, has never done acupuncture before or someone looking for a professional in and around Denver.
Melissa is such a professional. She really knows her stuff. I'd never tried acupuncture before, and now I'm hooked. She takes the time to understand me and adjusts each treatment to meet my needs at that time. If you've always wanted to see what acupuncture is about, this is the place to go!
Matt was very calm and comforting. He listened and helped me feel safe from the first session. He has taught me a lot about my body systems and healing. I leave treatments feeling great and my overall health has improved as well. I have recommended him to friends and family, including my grandma. Thank you so much Five Roads!
I originally injured my right elbow ~11 years ago from a ski accident. No break, "just" soft tissue and was told by doctors it was "traumatic tendinitis". For many years, it was tolerable. If I over used it (softball, work, etc), then rest, ice & ibuprofen would usually do the trick to make it feel better. In August of 2011, I was carrying a awkward item up the stairs & exacerbated the injury. It felt worse than the original injury. It hurt to get dressed, wash/brush my hair....any menial, simple task caused pain. The pain would wake me up. Being a nurse, I did a lot of research on what I could do to make it "better". Basically, everything I read said rest, ice, ibuprofen...and a few said acupuncture. The first appointment I made was with Matt. He always took the time to really get to know me & my lifestyle. I knew this wouldn't be a "cure", but I am a very active person and my elbow was limiting my activities. And it wasn't just my elbow..when other "annoyances" would appear, he was able to incorporate treatment for the other things easily.I started feeling better by the 3rd session. The treatment plan really worked for me. It included not only acupuncture but electrostimulation (not sure if that's the correct term). I would still have painful days, but they became less frequent. Currently my elbow is back to the mostly "tolerable" stage which makes me very happy! Matt was also able to counsel me on herbs & gave pertinent lifestyle advice.
