I took my daughter in to the clinic because of a very high fever and obvious ear infection (she had ooze coming from her ear). I wanted to make sure that there was nothing else seriously wrong and it was the weekend so I wasn't able to get her to her pediatrician. Saltzer was the only place open so I was hesitant, but when you have a 6 month old baby, you do what's necessary. The NP was, for lack of better words, incompetent. I explained the situation and he said "well she just isn't feeling very good, so give her some tylenol and follow up with your pediatrician's office if she doesn't get to feeling better" and sent us on our way - denying she had any ear infection. The next day, her fever was at 105 and we immediately took her in to the pediatrician (thank god they were open) and she had a serious ear infection that required antibiotic shots. My doctor was surprised that they sent us on our way without any treatment. I immediately filed a complaint on their website and never got a response. Fast forward 3 months - I just barely received the first bill and, while I don't feel like I should have to pay for their horrible service, I called to set up a payment plan so I could make sure that this was taken care of. The person in billing informed me that I had 120 days from date of service to pay or I would be sent to collections. I tried explaining that I had only recently received a bill and was trying to make sure that didn't happen. She kept repeating over and over what their policies were - which I understand, but I had JUST BARELY GOT A BILL!!!!!!!! She sends me to her supervisor who calls me back later in the afternoon.... The supervisor calls me and tells me they only hold the bills in house for 90 days - not 120 days, 90 days. I said I understand, but if I didn't get the bill, how was I to know how much I was supposed to pay or where it was to be sent to. I explained everything to her and she said she would transfer me to the quality assurance department and then went back to the fact that if I don't pay my bill (which I was trying to do....) they would send me to collections. I told her I only just recently got a bill, she rudely interrupted me saying they sent me 2 bills and that even if they didn't send me a bill, my insurance would have sent me an EOB which would tell how much I needed to pay. At this point I did lose my temper - HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHERE TO SEND THE PAYMENT IF I DIDN'T GET A BILL!!!!! She said I was being disrespectful, would not transfer me to the quality department and said she would hang up on me. Now I'm waiting for a call back from the quality assurance department but I will NEVER EVER go to this clinic again! Absolutely horrible service from all departments!!! Edit*** I did receive a call from the quality assurance department and was treated with respect and she listened to everything I said, without interrupting me, and expressed true concern for the way I was being treated. While I still will not return to Saltzer for care, I do appreciate being treated like a real human for once. Thank you, Janet!!!

Terrible directions, late 20 mins because of them, then they canceled my appointment, no phone call. New patient from out of town, no call?? No care, they won't treat you like a real person. I walked around the "billing building" with my baby, all alone, in a sketchy part of town for 25mins. I'm not an idiot. I used GPS still got lost. What a joke, building smelled once I got there. Absolutely go there if you want to get sick. Gross.

I've been taking both my kids here for almost 7 years. I really love Dr. Andrews she's always very informative and helpful. I've read a lot of these bad google reviews on this clinic, but I'm pleased with my service here. it's not even a hit or miss. I like Saltzer.

It is a sad place where your health care is not about healthcare but about capitalizing on your helplessness. These doctors are primarily motivated by money which is pretty obvious when they bounce you back and forth to one another without giving you what you need. It took my mother 8 visits just to get a prescription for a antibiotic for a simple infection. The doctor refused to give a prescription over the phone and made her come in for a return visit because he FORGOT to give her the prescription the previous time (WHAT!?) there goes another couple hundred in his pocket (Christopher E. Henson). These doctors are milking poor elderly people who don't know any better, giving them the run around as they collect the cash in the process. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that actually cares about your health. The only doctor there I can say anything good about is Doctor Kunz who is very helpful.

Last night I took my one year old daughter to Saltzer with a 105 degree temperature the PA-C made me aware that my daughter is at high risk of fibrile seizures. The PA-C I saw dropped the ball BIG TIME! After asking and clearly re-stating where the prescription should be sent to (the only 24 hour pharmacy nearby). They sent the prescription to the wrong place (a closed pharmacy). 12 hours later when Saltzer re-opened this morning I was able to track down the prescription and finally able to give it to her. Next time I will wait and take her to her pediatrician since I had to wait anyways.
