Triangle Family Dental

I agree with other reviewers, they were relatively nice there, but also really expensive. I felt like I was getting pressured to commit to a procedure possibly because as I was paying cash, which they make more money on. I'd go somewhere else if I had to do it over.
Although the women here were nice, and the orchids were lovely, these people really over-estimated the number of cavities in order to make some money. I went to two other dentists in the area and one said I had "possibly one small" cavity, the other said there were none, and this lady at Triangle Family Dental said I had 8. EIGHT! EIGHT! Totaling more than 1,300 dollars in dental work! Needless to say I never went back after I got all the second opinions, and she charged me 20 dollars to provide copies of the electronic version of her xrays, which is ridiculous because I had flash drives and came to pick them up, but she said she could only do the 20 dollar-for paper version or nothing. Worst . Service. Ever. Do not go unless you are loaded and your money is burning through your pockets. Beware.
Be careful. The women were nice here, but they really overcharge you for everything. I had chipped a tooth and they were able to squeeze me in so I didn't have to go all the way home to get it fixed (bad call in retrospect, would've saved myself over $100). Anyway, I went in, filled out the paperwork, sat in the chair and the Doctor put the bonding on my tooth. $330 when it was all said and done and because I don't have great dental insurance I paid out of pocket ($90 more expensive than my dentist at home, but I didn't have to drive home). Two weeks later I get an additional bill in the mail saying that they charged my insurance $52 for a "limited exam" and that I still had that as an outstanding balance. I called to ask why I had this charge because we had already established that my insurance wasn't going to cover ANY of the procedure and why I wasn't told about this additional fee and the most they could tell me is that the limited exam is "the doctor being present in the room and looking to see if you needed the chip filled." Anybody with eyes could see that I chipped my front tooth, just extra fees thrown on. Despite the nice women that work here I would've preferred driving the 100 miles back home and saving myself the $140 in the long run. Don't go here unless you have money to throw away.
So, I was told I had 5 cavities. I got two filled. They were so shallow she didn't need to use novacaine, she said. It took her little over 15 minutes to do them actually. I got charged over 600 dollars. When I asked her about sealants to prevent new cavities, she said I wasn't a "candidate" for sealants. However, on one of my teeth the sealant is wearing and it is about to get a cavity. This is an example of how health care should not be a commodity but is. I was refused preventative care so that, after the cavities formed, she could once again charge me. After calling another office, I found out that even with composite fillings, two shallow fillings never cost that much. I understand that this is capitalism and doctors and dentists need to earn money but on a moral level, this is my body.
