I love weis. ive been going to weis since I was 8 years old! they always have the best prices and great customer service. ive been going to weis in bel air for so long now that they know my mom by name and my kids by name and are always so sweet.
Never been a Weis before and just moved to town. I lost my phone in the store and a few employees stopped what they were doing to help me out. Prices seem fair and I have yet to find something that they don't have.
Mainly .. Weis, Giant, Safeway, and to a lesser extent Mars .. are so very high in their prices. The masses (follow the masses) shop at .. Shop-rite stores. The best priced deli's are .. Shop-rite and Mars (in that order). Weis and the rest are just to consumer high. Wegman's is not price friendly .. but .. when you shop there .. it is an .. experience (huge store with many selections, etc.). If these higher stores would .. lower their prices .. they would have way more customers (therefore making more profit) like the .. Shop-rite stores do. When Shop-rite merged with Klein's .. their business shot up (when their prices dropped - thank's to Shop-rite). I keep wondering when the top people are going to .. wake-up ..and start making these changes (I should would) !!! Jack
Weis,Wegman's and Shoprite are all easily accessible on my way home from work. I've always chosen to stop at Weis because it's a little more convenient. During the time Wegman's was being built, Weis stepped it up and showed significant improvement overall. I thought that was so wonderful and decided to continue shopping there regardless. Weis quality overall, has noticeably begun sliding downward and good customer service is intermittent at best. Tonight (2nd time this week), I stopped by the Weis store in Bel Air (McPhail Road) to buy a pizza to go. I believe it was approximately 10-15 min before 7pm (possibly earlier), that I stopped by the pizza counter and waited for someone to come over and take my order. The two individuals working the pizza counter were off in the corner. Not sure what they were doing, but there was lots of laughter. When they finally saw me standing there, they immediatley turned out the lights without even acknowleging me. I was somewhat put off by the way I was treated so I left and decided to pick up a few things while there (vegetables, fruit, canned goods, meat). Still feeling a little miffed about the way I was treated, I stopped by the customer service desk before checking out and asked what time they stopped making pizzas. The customer service rep told me 7pm. I had already done my shopping when I decided to stop by the customer service desk ( 7:01 pm). This is not the first time I've encountered issues like this at this particular Weis store. I do have to mention this - more often than not, later in the evening, the workers are standing around chatting/gossiping as is the security person, and you have to interrupt their personal in-store get togethers just to get some service. I'm done! I will no longer shop at Weis in Bel Air. From now on, Wegman's will be the grocery store I will shop at on my way home from work. At least there, I can ALWAYS count on excellent/top-notch customer service and, aside from the wide array of food items to choose from, I can pick up a pizza to go on my way out. Goodbye Weis...
The rest of the store is OK
