Rite Aid Pharmacy
Reviews
Steven Gathey is the BEST pharmacist this town has ever seen. He would be the ONLY reason I go to this Rite Aid. Thank you, Steve-- you're a great human bean! ;)
Seemed all right based on my brief visit for toothpaste.
It's a regular Rite-Aid. The pharmacists are friendly and helpful. There's no reason to "stay away" from this Rite-Aid.
This pharmacy is ridiculously bad. I've had polite staff once but my other two experiences have been awful. Two times in a row now I've called in to refill a prescription and confirmed a pick-up time. When I get there, they tell me that they don't have the prescription and that they'll have to order it and ask me to come back. Why can't you call me and tell me that you don't have it so I don't waste my time!? Also, when I explained this to the pharmacist this time around, she didn't apologize rather she just starred at me. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
I would give the pharmacy 0 stars if I could. The pharmacist is extremely rude and should not work with the public at all. When I walked up to the drop-off counter, he asked what I needed. I tried to cordially greet him (good afternoon, how are you today?), but didn't get much more than a grunt. I proceeded to explain that I no longer needed a prescription that was waiting to be picked up, because my son's pediatrician had changed the prescription, he became visibly upset. He huffed/sighed loudly and stormed over toward the pick-up counter. When he returned, he proceeded to slam the two prescription bags on the counter. Although I specifically told him the name of the prescription that I no longer needed, he asked if I no longer needed the antibiotic prescription that had just been sent over electronically by his the pediatrician about 1 hour before. When I said yes, I still needed that one, he slammed/threw it into the little basket, slapped the new prescription paper on top of it. I still thanked him (that's how I was raised), but he gave no more than a grunt and then walked away without saying another word. If I had a written prescription for the antibiotic, I would have just had them both filled elsewhere. They just lost my business! I will be going back to having prescriptions filled at the CVS by Food Lion or the Rite Aid on 54.
