Had to have a root canal today after being referred by my primary dentist. Tina in the office was so friendly and welcoming and made me feel right at home. Ana, the assistant was nice and very professional and thorough and Dr. McDougal was fantastic! I would not hesitate to return to their office. He was kind, professional, thorough and was more than happy to explain to me what I would experience during the procedure. He was concerned about my comfort throughout the entire procedure and made sure I knew I was welcome to call the office if I experienced anything out of the ordinary. When I left, the ladies at the front desk said they would call me tomorrow to check up on me. So nice and friendly. Having to have a root canal is bad enough, but if you have to have one, this is the place to have it done!

No trip to the dentist is expected to be pleasant, but this was as close as it comes. Very nice staff, great location, and great job on my teeth!!

Service in Spring 2010. To me the office location was a plus - located in S Durham, easy parking & access from I-40 and NC 54 (just north of both on Fayetteville Rd). Office staff very helpful and professional, everything clean and well organized. Dr. McDougal very thorough and helpful. Totally comfortable under his care. He explained everything in detail. And probably the number one question everyone asks when having a root canal, no pain! I almost fell asleep at one point. Had no pain during the procedure and really no pain after the procedure (though he did explain the more alive the tooth, the less pain & swelling). Everything went so well, with so little pain & such a speedy recovery...if my own dentist would have explained this, I would not have spent months avoiding the procedure. Highly recommend Dr. McDougal, emphasis on highly.

The office staff was very friendly, and able to work me in, despite their hectic schedule. The assistant explained the procedure to me, and the doctor was very patient with my tooth. Both the doctor and the assistant listened to my story about my tooth. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know and family!

Absolutely wonderful group of professionals! Dr. McDougal is knowledgeable, experienced, patient, kind, thorough and takes all the time necessary for each patient. His staff is exceptional! Didn't need a root canal as expected, but will need a crown. If I could give this dental practice a 10+ I would have. Very conveniently located, easy access and parking. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone!
