My experience with Dr. Adams and his staff was great! The staff is ridiculously nice and accommodating. I was given clear instructions upfront to prep myself and my driver for surgery day. Surgery was quick and easy. Prior to IV sedation I was given a blanket and the ladies working with me kept me smiling and calm until I dozed off. When I woke near 30 minutes later, I was led to a recliner until I was cleared to leave. Once escorted to the car, the nurse prepped my husband on where to go to pick up prescriptions and instructions on how to keep me comfortable. Twenty minutes later I had all my medication with clear instructions on how to proceed for the next week. It's now the day after and I have yet to feel any pain or discomfort. I have been full of energy ever sense the IV sedation wore off and carried on as if nothing ever happened. Of all the horror stories I've heard about getting wisdom teeth extracted, I'm thoroughly pleased with the outcome and didn't expect the surgery and recovery to go so well. I highly recommend Dr. Adams and his staff!
THEY DON'T ALLOW KIDS IN THE WAITING ROOM! I wasn't aware of this when I was the driver for my cousin, so when I went to sit down with my 13 month old daughter they informed me that I had to wait outside in my car. This was July 8th. JULY in North Carolina is crazy HOT and they wanted me to wait in the car with my infant. They told me I couldn't leave, but I couldn't stay in their waiting room. I have never heard of this rule in my life, nor was it posted anywhere! I might be able to understand it if my daughter was screaming or causing trouble, but we had only walked in and my cousin checked in. She sat quietly on my hip the whole time. I don't care if he's the best Oral Surgeon in the world, I will never go there and I will make sure to let everyone know not to go there because they made me and my daughter stay outside in the heat for almost 2 hours. Who does that!?!?! Horrible!!!
