Cross Creek Dental
Reviews
Its been a while since I went to Doc Caudell, but I figure this review is long overdue. I had some minor fillings done when the Army line was three months long and they did such a great job I decided to have them do my Invisalign as well. The staff was great at explaining the entire process, a breakdown of the costs, and keeping me on time for all of my follow up visits (there was one every two weeks for almost a year). They were also very flexible in scheduling me in at odd times or rescheduling when my job threw me a curveball and I had to cancel. I finally used them to have a crown done on one of my front teeth that cracked when I was in an accident. The work they did was absolutely perfect, more like art than dentistry. My friends who are dentists were amazed when I told them one of my front teeth was a crown. Everyone there treats you like family and I wouldn't go anywhere else to get work done.
After 10yrs I left. I was told to wait to have my children seen until 3yrs after asking on more than one occassion b'c I read differently. I was correct and b'c they don't work with children they don't feel it is their obligation to quote the AAPD. Shame on you Cross Creek Dental. Perhaps you should also tell your staff it is unprofessional to enjoy their Hardee's drinks at the front desk.
The staff was very courteous and welcoming, as was the dentist. However, when I came back for the root canal, the dentist seemed in too much of a hurry to let the local anesthetic take effect and got frustrated and said she "couldn't get you numb enough." However, It took 4 1/2 hours for the anesthesia to wear off. I really feel like I wouldn't have felt any pain if she had given it 30 minutes instead of 10-15 for the first shot and about 2-5 minutes for the other 3-4 shots she put in. Instead, she gave the last shots NO time and tried to drill; she then basically tossed her hands up when I jerked and said it hurt and then tried to refer me to a specialist in root canals. (My appt. was @ 3pm; I went back to a room about 3:10; I was already in my car, calling someone in tears by 3:45pm.) She admitted that she had no idea what the specialist would do differently than she had and that I may just have to "bear down and deal with it." And, when I asked whether I was going to be in even more pain than I had been once the anesthesia wore off, since she has drilled away part of my tooth, she just responded, "Yeah, you may be in some pain." I had to ask several times to get a prescription for something stronger than Motrin, since I'm allergic to Percocet. She kept saying that she thought that Darvocet, the only other thing I've taken that I know I'm not allergic to, had been taken off the market. I asked her to look and see for sure; she was wrong, so she wrote the prescription and just referred me out to the specialist who, by the way, doesn't have an appointment for me for 12 days. The office seemed uncaring that I could quite possibly be in excruciating pain for 12 days waiting for a specialist to have time for me. I left very upset and visibly shaking. They did nothing to try to assure me that I was going to be OK. I thank God that I'm not actually in any more pain today than yesterday, but I won't be going back here for the dentist to just get frustrated again when she tries to numb me for the regular filling I need.
They are not signed up with United Concordia through Tricare so you have to pay out of pocket at your appointment and then wait to be re-imbursed by your insurance company...so...um, no thank you. I dont know why the other person said they support military
