This place absolutely sucks, but I honestly have never enjoyed shopping at Walmart. The produce is skimpy and not fresh, the food is of the lowest quality as well as everything they sell. The employees are incompetent, even the lighting in the store is bad. You think you're saving money but you're just getting the worst of the worst in service, products, and shopping experience- as well as destroying the local economy. seriously pay an extra dollar to a store that give their employees health insurance. Another thing, don't call and ask if they have a certain product or ask an employee where something is. did I say incompetent employees? It's nice to hire mentally challenge people but they should have one guy with brains on the floor. the place gives me a migraine every time.
This store NEVER goes out of its way for a customer and if you call and the department doesn't answer they make no effort for you. It was perfectly fine to them for me to call elsewhere for business...
love the location. if you can stay outside and just shop the garden supplies, its great! (ha ha) i went inside to get staples i normally buy there, this week, on wednesday, and the store was SO POORLY STOCKED. oh my. i needed cracked corn, (farm animal food) couldnt find an associate for the life of me, to ask if there was more outback...i litterally had to go to the pharmacy to ask them (i knew there would be a person there!) they directed me to a woman a couple isles over working, who looked most put out, to have me ask anything of her. she did walk out to where its normally located, and used her gun to say no, 2 were on order. really? 2 bags? sigh... that made me take another look around the store, and realize how lacking alot of isles were! (BEER! i was looking for a 12pack of dundee that they carry, not on shelf, either) ...even the candy/checkout/gum shelf? was barren. very very weird. ...i hope its a minor glitch in staffing, or ordering? and this doesnt continue. i try to buy from small mom and pop stores (and had to back track to the local agway store for the corn) but even the few staple i rely on walmart for...i might be re thinking...
People are friendly enough. Management seems to be a tad incompetent. I go here to shop for regular things, usually food. I've noticed that things are very often stocked inconsistently; either something will be out for weeks inexplicably, or it will be stocked elsewhere for awhile before it is re-stocked where it usually is. This sometimes makes shopping a chore. I was once sent away on the release date of a game I was trying to buy because employees had not been properly informed about the release and how to handle it; I was told it wasn't in stock and ended up wasting a lot of gas going to the Walmart in Tilton to get a game that I found out later had been at the Plymouth Walmart all along. Very frustrating experience and unfortunately not the first time I know of something like this happening.
Standard schizophrenic Wal Mart experience in Plymouth. Mediocre management shows. Prefer to shop in the better managed Woodsville location.
